A Christian County educator is among those to be appointed to a state wide council. Governor Beshear announced Friday afternoon that Leann Pickerill, of Hopkinsville, had been selected to serve on the Kentucky Advisory Council for Gifted and Talented Education.
Pickerill's appointment will be to serve for a term expiring in December of 2015. Pickerill is an instructional supervisor for the Christian County Board of Education. She will represent gifted and talented coordinators. Pickerill replaces Candace James, whose term has expired.
