The 2013 session of the Kentucky General Assembly got underway Tuesday with two new senators who have been sent from the area to represent western Kentucky. 1st District Senator Stan Humphries says there are some issues that all of Kentucky will be looking at, but others that are specific to our area.

The General Assembly uses the first week of the session for organizational meetings and leadership elections, and will get underway in earnest with the legislative session next month.
