Officials at Louisville Collegiate School have announced that Hopkinsville native Dr. James White has been selected to be the new head of the school. According to a letter sent to the school's community, White's appointment to the position becomes effective in July. White, who will become the 13th head of the school, replaces Junius Scott Prince, who had announced he would step down at the end of the 2012-2013 school year.
The selection of White, who is a graduate of University Heights Academy, came at the conclusion of a nationwide search. White has over 15 years experience in educational administration and leadership, and has been serving as Assistant Head of School at Phoenix Country Day School in Paradise Valley, Arizona. White has a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree from Harvard, with his Doctorate being completed at Arizona State.
