Whayne Supply Named Agribusiness Of Year



A dealer in commercial and agricultural machinery, with a location in Hopkinsville was recently named the 2012 Kentucky Agribusiness of the Year. The award, sponsored by the Agribusiness Industry Network, was presented to Whayne Supply Company during the annual Farm-City Luncheon at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

Whayne Supply Company dates back to 1913, when founder Roy Whayne Sr. began selling light engines, pumps, wheelbarrows and bicycles in a small downtown Louisville shop. In 2008, Monty Boyd purchased Whayne Supply from the third generation of the Whayne family. Today the company directory boasts some 1,400 employees.

The Hopkinsville location of Whayne Supply is at 211 Commerce Court.
