Stumbo To Nominate Yonts For Chairmanship

One Western Kentucky legislator could replace another as the chairman of the House State Government Committee. House Speaker Greg Stumbo announced. Wednesday he intends to nominate Representative Brent Yonts, of Greenville, for the position, and that he considers Yonts the frontrunner for the position. Yonts, if selected, would replace former Democratic state Representative Mike Cherry, of Princeton, who retired at the end of 2012.
