Governor And Lt Governor Ready To Work With Loc



Kentucky's top members of the Executive Branch are looking foward to working with local legislators to help Western Kentucky during this and upcoming Kentucky General Assembly sessions. Governor Steve Beshear told the News Edge during an exclusive interview in his office at the State Capitol in Frankfort that he is looking forward to a good working relationship with Senators Stan Humphries and Whitney Westerfield.


   
Governor Beshear says he will be meeting with all new legislators this week.


   
Lt Governor Jerry Abramson echoed the Governor's sentiments when he spoke with the News Edge in his office Tuesday.


   
Senators Westerfield and Humphries were sworn in for their first term in office Tuesday afternoon. Meanwhile on the other end of the Capitol, new Western Kentucky House members Kenny Imes, from the Fifth District, and Lynn Bechler, from Fourth District, joined Eighth District State Representative John Tilley and Ninth District Legislator Myron Dossett in taking the Oath of Office from Chief Justice John Minton.
