Meanwhile, in Frankfort, the House of Representatives Republican Caucus is keeping its leadership. Officials say Floor Leader Jeff Hoover was re-elected Tuesday to a seventh consecutive term as the top GOP leader in the House, making him the longest serving House Republican Floor Leader in Kentucky's history. In addition, members re-elected Representative Bob DeWeese as House Republican Caucus Chair, and Representative John "Bam" Carney was elected as House Republican Whip. It is the sixth consecutive time DeWeese has been elected Caucus Chair, and the first time Carney has been elected to a leadership position in the House Republican Caucus. Representatives Hoover, DeWeese and Carney will serve in their respective House Republican Leadership roles until January 2015.
