Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell from Kentucky will be talking on three Sunday morning news programs about the fiscal cliff deal he brokered with Vice President Joe Biden earlier this week.
McConnell is scheduled to appear on ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopolus, CBS's "Face the Nation", and NBC's "Meet the Press with David Gregory". He is expected to discuss the fiscal cliff deal he negotiated with the Vice President and his view of how Washington should deal with coming debates over taxes and spending.
The fiscal cliff agreement made permanent most of the income tax cuts first enacted during the presidency of George W. Bush. The agreement also extended various tax credits and provided additional unemployment insurance for 2 million americans. The plan also delayed automatic spending cuts that would have reduced funding to most defense and domestic programs.
