Trigg Co Preps For Weight Loss Challenge

The Fifth Annual Trigg County Biggest Loser Community Weight Loss Challenge will kick off Monday and officials are aiming to help community members keep their new year's resolutions. The event, which is sponsored by Trigg County Hospital, Hancock’s Neighborhood Market, WKDZ/WHVO, Culligan and Curves, will be a 12 week challenge in which a Biggest Loser Female, Biggest Loser Male, Biggest Loser Team and overall Biggest Loser will be crowned. Sponsor Mallory Lawrence, who will have a team of her own, says while getting a team together is encouraged, it is not mandatory.

Weigh in will be Monday, January 7, from 7-9am, 11am-1pm and 4-6pm at the new Curves location in Cadiz, 1930 Main Street. Team leaders will be encouraged to make sure members weigh in once a week and with reporting totals on the Trigg County Biggest Loser Facebook page, for a chance to win a free case of water courtesy of Culligan. Lawrence says the Challenge is about helping the community get healthy.

The winners will be chosen following the final weigh in April 1st at Curves and will be based on percentage of body weight lost. There is a 10 dollar fee to enter and winners will receive a cash prize.
