The Christian County Sheriff's Office has partnered with the Pennyroyal Regional Prevention Center, and installed a prescription drug drop off box in the lobby of the Christian County Sheriff's Office. Captain Chris Miller says the box is being provided as a location to bring prescriptions that have expired or that you don't need anymore.
Captain Miller says the program is designed to reduce opportunities for prescription medicine to fall into the hands of kids.
Miller says old medications can be dropped off and disposed of anonymously, and will then be destroyed. Prescription and over the counter solid dosage medications will be accepted including solid pet medication. Liquids, injectable medications, syringes and needles will not accepted. Those wanting more information, can contact the Christian County Sheriff's Department at 887-4143.
