Trigg County Woman Injured Thursday Morning

A Trigg County woman was flown from the scene of a single vehicle accident Thursday morning, near the intersection of US 68 and Kentucky 272. 61-year old Nona Bennett, of Cadiz, was injured when her vehicle struck a tree. The News Edge spoke to Trooper Billy Over, with the Kentucky State Police, on the scene.

Over added that Bennett exited the roadway after swerving to avoid an animal. Bennett was transported from the scene by Air Evac to Vanderbilt Medical Center, where officials told the News Edge she was in stable condition. Bennett is the co-owner of Western Kentucky Crop Insurance, in Pembroke. The accident occurred around 8:40 Thursday morning.
