Meetings To Start New Year



The new year will bring about special called meetings of Hopkinsville and Cadiz City Council, and Schools Boards in Trigg and Christian Counties. Hopkinsville City Council will meet Thursday, January 3rd, at 6:00, with election of a new Committee of the Whole Chairman among the agenda items. Hopkinsville Council will also approve appointments to a number of boards and commissions and discuss authorizations for crosswalks on Susan Avenue and the corner of 17th and High Streets.

The Christian and Trigg County School Boards will meet Thursday night for the first time in the new year. New Christian County Board Members will be sworn in during the 6:00 meeting at the Central Office. Meanwhile the board agenda has not been released for the Trigg County Board's 7:00 meeting. And Cadiz City Council will meet Tuesday January 8th for their first meeting, with the hiring of a new City Police Chief among the items on the agenda.
