The Christian County Board of Education Thursday night said goodbye to two members before the final meeting of the year. Outgoing board members Betsy Glover and Shelia Cottrell both say they have been honored to serve the students and parents of Christian County. Glover says she will continue serving, and has already put her name on the substitute list.
Cottrell says she will also be around watching, to make sure the board does what is right.
Both ladies teared up while saying their goodbyes.
Meanwhile, in Board business, members voted to approve the potential evacuation agreement, which will allow schools to use certain community buildings in the event of a disaster. Chief Operations Officer Kathy Hancock says this is one of the last pieces of the districts crisis plan and the memorandums of agreement with the churches and other organizations will be signed before any disaster.
The Board also approved numerous fundraisers and several change orders.
