New Trial Sought In Chantel Humphries Murder

Circuit Judge Woody Woodall is expected to rule Wednesday on whether a new trial in the Chantel Humphries murder will be held. Commonwealth's Attorney, G.L. Ovey says he spoke with one of the jurors from the August/September 2012 trial.

The trial earlier this year ended with a hung jury after the 12 people could not come to a unanimous decision on the guilt of Claude Russell. Ovey will be presenting his motion and evidence to Judge Woody Woodall Wednesday afternoon in Trigg County Circuit Court. The News Edge will be on hand for the hearing and bring you the latest as it is available.
