Tony Franklin Hired At California

Caldwell County native Tony Franklin is following his current head coach to a new school. It was officially announced Tuesday afternoon that Franklin had been hired as the new offensive coordinator for the California Golden Bears. Franklin joins his former head coach at Louisiana Tech, Sonny Dykes, in heading to the west coast.

The former offensive coordinator at Kentucky goes to California after three seasons Louisiana Tech. In taking the job, Franklin says he plans on this being his last stop, and that he has no desires to move on for a head coaching job in the future.
