Hopkins County Woman Charged With Assault

A Hopkins County woman is charged with assault following a weekend incident in St. Charles. According to the report from the Hopkins County Sheriff's Department, deputies were called out Saturday to a disturbance on Lake Grove Loop. Through the course of their investigation, deputies discovered that 24-year old Amber Martin and 30-year old Thomas Hickerson had been involved in a struggle, and that during the course of struggle, Martin had stabbed Hickerson in the chest.

Hickerson was transported to Baptist Hospital in Madisonville, while Martin was arrested on a charge of 1st Degree Assault and lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
