McConnell Discusses Fiscal Cliff at KFB Meeting

United States Senator Mitch McConnell is calling for President Barack Obama to come to the middle on the tax issue and work to avoid the fiscal cliff.
McConnell spoke with the News Edge and other media following his remarks at the Kentucky Farm Bureau annual meeting Friday afternoon. He says the senate has already showed they are willing to compromise to avoid the fiscal cliff.

McConnell says his big concern about the way the President wants to raise taxes is the effect it will have on small business.

Senator McConnell says he thinks the President's strategy is to try and push the negotiations to the last minute. He says he is not sure a compromise will be reached by the end of the year.
The Senator also said he is not sure if a Farm Bill can be passed by Congress by the end of 2012.
The News Edge is on hand to provide local coverage of the 93rd annual Kentucky Farm Bureau Meeting in Louisville.
