Andrews A Finalist For Hornung Award

Former Fort Campbell Falcon and current Western Kentucky University Hilltopper, Antonio Andrews was among the four finalists announced Friday morning for the 2012 Paul Hornung Award, which is presented by Paul Hornung and the Louisville Sports Commission.

The Paul Hornung Award is presented annually to the most versatile player in major college football. The finalists were selected by a vote of 16 media representatives.

Andrews has put together one of the top all-purpose seasons in NCAA history. His 2,997 yards ranks third all-time, behind Barry Sanders' 1988 record of 3,250 all-purpose yards. Andrews finished the regular season with 1,609 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns, 411 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Andrews also had a punt return for a touchdown. The other finalists are Dri Archer, of Kent State, Tavon Austin, of West Virginia, and Marqise Lee, of USC.
