Pratt Speaks To UK Alumni Club

The Kentucky Wildcat basketball team will get better, but there's still plenty of work to do. That's the assessment of Wildcat radio analyst Mike Pratt, who was the guest speaker of the Christian County UK Alumni Club's annual dinner at the Skyline Supper Club Thursday night.

The Wildcats are 5-3 but are unranked in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll for the first time in John Calipari's four seasons as UK head coach. Kentucky also saw their 55-game home court winning streak snapped last week to Baylor. Pratt says the success of this team begins with guard play

Pratt also says the current team lacks the maturity of some of the recent Kentucky teams that Calipari has brought to Lexington

The former Kentucky All-American answered questions from those at the dinner and shared some stories of his UK career from 1968-70.

It was also announced that the local alumni club chapter had given $4,500 in scholarships this year with money raised from century club memberships and two fundraisers.
