Body Found In Morton's Gap

The Hopkins County Sheriff's Department is investigating the discovery of a body Thursday along the railroad tracks in Morton's Gap. According to the report, the Sheriff's Department was notified by CSX that the crew on a northbound train had observed the body of a female on the tracks, near Ed Brackett Lane.

Once deputies arrived on the scene, it was determined that the woman was dead and the Hopkins County Coroner was called. The body was identified as that of 36-year old Lisa Sullivan, of Madisonville. The body was then sent off to the Medical Examiner's office in Louisville for an autopsy.
