From the News Edge: Transportation officials are reporting a traffic backup along the westbound lanes of I-24 in the work zone from near the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line to the Fort Campbell Boulevard exit. The contractor is pouring concrete as part of ongoing pavement rehabilitation work around the 89-mile marker, near the Pembroke-Oak Grove exit. While concrete trucks are moving in and out of this work area delivering material, the traffic backup appears to be more related to heavy traffic along the westbound lanes today. Westbound I-24 traffic in this work zone is backed up about 3 to 4 miles at this time with traffic slowed to about 35 mph in the area. To help reduce traffic congestion in this area, regular commuters who normally travel this section of I-24 westbound are being asked to seek an alternate route, if possible...............................................................................................................................A Night With The Blues is Saturday night at the Alhambra Theatre. Clarksville Home Destroyed By Fire

One Clarksville home was destroyed and another damaged in a Thursday afternoon fire. According to the Leaf-Chronicle, firefighters were called out around 1:49pm to a home on Colin Court, in northeast Clarksville. A teenager who was home at the time told officials she heard a clicking noise and then saw the flames.

The home was fully engulfed on the second floor when firefighters arrived and the fire quickly spread through the first floor. No other family members were at home when the fire broke out, and no one was injured in the fire. The fire spread briefly to a home next door, but firefighters quickly had it under control.
