A Trigg County Sheriff's Deputy avoided injury in an accident involving a Trigg County Sheriff's Department cruiser in Hardin County Tuesday afternoon. According to information from Post Four of the Kentucky State Police, Deputy Mark Nichols was northbound on I-65 when he lost control of the cruiser and struck a pole at the Elizabethtown exit.
State Police told the News Edge that Nichols was not injured in the accident, which occured around 3:48pm eastern time. Trigg County Sheriff Ray Burnam says Deputy Nichols was on his way to Louisville on official business to accept an award.
