An elementary school student in Clarksville has been diagnosed with bacterial meningitis. Officials with the Montgomery County Schools confirmed Monday that a student at Kenwood Elementary had bacterial meningitis, which had been caused by strep throat.
School officials add that the health department has determined it is not the kind of meningitis which would cause a public health risk, noting that the health department stated no precautionary measures are necessary and that parents do not need to be concerned about any risk to their children.
