Eggners Ferry Bridge Investigation Continues

Officials say the investigation into the crash that led to the collapse of the Eggners Ferry Bridge is in its final phase and may be available to the public sometime after the first of the year. Coast Guard Investigating Officer LT Commander Nick Parham says the investigation of what happened the night the Delta Mariner crashed into the Eggners Ferry Bridge is being wrapped up and awaiting review by headquarters.

LCDR Parham was part of the investigating team that held hearings in Paducah in May this year along with the National Transportation Safety Board. Until the investigation is made public little can be found out about the results. Lead investigator in the case LT Jaime Salinas has not returned phone calls from the News Edge about the investigation.
