Do you know someone in Hopkinsville who deserves a little recognition for his or her hard work to spread Christmas cheer through decorating his or her yard? Then the Hopkinsville Beautification Commission wants you to know you do not need to look any further. The Commission is sponsoring its annual competition among residents in each ward, but Anne Casey says you will need to hurry.
She adds that night will also feature some of Raymond Nelson’s lights, which are currently downtown.
Other lights he donated can be seen at the Trail of Tears Park on East 9th Street. Casey says there is also a chance for businesses to be recognized.
She says winners will be posted on the city website as well as receive a certificate from Mayor Dan Kemp and have their picture featured in the Kentucky New Era.
