3rd Brigade Combat Team Celebrates Holidays Overseas

The 3rd Brigade Combat Team is almost two months into a nine month deployment, and despite the fact that they will miss the holiday season with their families, morale is still high and soldiers are looking forward to a feast.  Rakkasan Commander, Colonel R.J. Lillibridge says they may be half a world away, but Thanksgiving is still on the agenda.

He adds that they will even partake in a little holiday tradition.

Colonel Lillibridge says his Rakkasans are staying task oriented because they knew going into this deployment they would miss a little family time.

And he adds though they may not be state side next month, families will most likely still receive a few presents.

The 3rd Brigade Combat Team is one of the most highly deployed units in the army and they continue to uphold the Army’s high standards, even while missing a few holidays.
