Local Horses Run Well At Churchill Downs



Two races horses with local connections ran well during races at Churchill Downs in Louisville last week.
Thursday Flashy Rae, owned by a group local owners that include Kevin Atwood and Jerry Stewart, won the sixth race. The horse was riden to victory by Jockey Corey Lanerie and trained by Christian County natives Larry and Cindy Jones.
Meanwhile Friday Teeny Liz, owned by local owners Kevin Atwood, Charlene Sheehan, Jerry Stewart and others, placed 3rd in the fourth race at Churchill Downs. Teeny Liz is trained by Christian County natives Larry and Cindy Jones.
