The Kentucky Economic Growth Party in Princeton is looking into other political avenues after their initial investigation into gas prices in the area.
The Princeton Times Leader reports that the Kentucky Economic Growth Party in Princeton has recently formed two additional committees. One committee will look into upcoming legislation filed in the General Assembly, the other will look into back to school costs and fundraisers. The KEG party's concerns with legislation are centered around unfunded mandates that fall to local governments to pay for.
The KEG Party called for a 3 day boycott of Princeton gas stations at the beginning of the month in an effort to encourage those stations to price their gasoline more competitively with the surrounding areas. Reports say officials will consider a 30 day gasoline boycott at their next meeting on Tuesday.
