Anticipating the vacant Judge Executive seat that Senator Elect Stan Humphries will soon leave, the Trigg County Democratic Executive Committee has sent their short list of suggestions to the Governor.
Dr. Thornton Bryan with the Trigg County Democratic Executive Committee says they wanted to let the Governor know who they suggest and who would be interested in the position.
Bryan says the three men that expressed interested in the Judge Executive position would all be up to the job.
Alexander is Chief of the Cadiz Police Department, Wright is currently a magistrate and the Trigg County High School Boys Basketball Coach, and Taylor is an employee of the Transportation Cabinet. The Trigg County Democratic Executive Committee's letter went out on Friday. The Governor has 30 days from the date Senator Elect Humphries resigns to fill the position.
