Two accused murderers will answer the charges in Christian County Circuit Court after being indicted Friday by the Grand Jury. According to court records, 29 year old Micah Holland of Pembroke and 22 year old Hersey Mitchell of Clarksville were both indicted for murder stemming from two separate incidents in September.
Holland is accused of fatally shooting his cousin 30 year old Joey Weatherwax in the early morning hours of September 9th at a party in Herndon. Mitchell is accused of fatally shooting 20 year old Shannon Fairley September 23rd at the Mapco on Fort Campbell Boulevard in Oak Grove. Mitchell’s co-defendant, 22 year old Louis Spencer of Clarksville was indicted for first degree assault because 23 year old Desmond Leavell was also shot during the incident.
In all, the Christian County Grand Jury returned 18 indictments Friday, which also included several for sexual charges. Court records state 21 year old Jimmy Milan of North Street, Hopkinsville was indicted for four counts of third degree sodomy and one count of third degree unlawful transaction with a minor, stemming from reported interactions with a 15 year old girl. 63 year old Myron Parker of Dawson Springs was indicted for three counts of first degree rape, 14 counts of first degree sodomy and 14 counts of first degree sexual abuse, which according to court records stem from incidents involving two minor children. 30 year old Timothy Trump of West 4th Street was indicted on one count of first degree sexual abuse with a victim under the age of 12.
27 year old Kevin White of Lewis Street, Hopkinsville was indicted for five counts of first degree wanton endangerment and one count each of second degree assault, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and being a persistent felony offender. His charges are reportedly connected to the August 23rd assault of Quanita Burse and the subsequent shooting at her 4th Street home.
