The new Cadiz-Trigg County Crime Stoppers organization now has another 2600-dollars in their tipster reward fund thanks to a pledge-a-thon held Friday morning on WKDZ 106.5, and the generosity of the community. The two hour pledge drive included WKDZ's Carrie McGinnis and Cindy Allen Lax, as well as Crimestoppers coordinator Jimmy Godair and Board Member Jim Kilcoin.
Individual donations totaled more than 1300-dollars, but were doubled by a generous anonymous donor who agreed to match each gift, dollar for dollar. The Trigg County Crimestoppers tips line is just in it's infancy, going live less than three weeks ago, but has already netted one arrest and numerous tips from anonymous callers. Should those tips lead to further arrests, the people who called in the tips will receive a cash reward.
If you have a tip that could lead to the arrest of a criminal in Trigg County, call 522-INFO or 522-4636. The Trigg County Sheriff's Department is continuing to solicit funds. Drop off your tax deductible donation at the Sheriff's Department on Jefferson Street or mail your check to PO Box 15, in Cadiz.
