Pembroke Road Burglaries

Christian County Sheriff's Deputies are investigating two more thefts from businesses along Pembroke Road Monday night.

Reports say sometime Monday night or early Tuesday morning thieves struck S&J Cafe in Pembroke and Industrial Hydraulics of Hopkinsville both on Pembroke Road. Deputies were called to S&J Cafe Tuesday morning to a possible burglary in progress. Deputies found that an unknown suspect had made entry through a locked side door, ransacked the office, opened and stole cash from the cash register, and taken a .45 handgun. The total value of the stolen items was listed at 520 dollars.

Later Tuesday morning Thomas Martin called deputies to Industrial Hydraulics near the corner of Pembroke Road and Martin Luther King Bypass. After trying to pry open a side door on the business, reports say the suspects broke a lock on a sliding door and made entry. Inside the suspect ransacked three offices, pried open the cash register and stole cash and change, and stole two tool boxes, a TV, a laptop, and a credit card. Reports list the value of the items at more than 26 hundred dollars.

On Tuesday morning Hopkinsville Police were called to two businesses that had been broken into and ransacked on Sequoya Drive just off Pembroke Road. The Sheriff's Department has not yet confirmed that they believe the break-ins to be related.
