Two Arrested In Tuesday Night Shooting

Hopkinsville Police say the victim of a Tuesday night shooting on Walnut Street is recovering at home after being released from a Nashville hospital Wednesday morning, while two suspects are in custody. Officer Scott Mayes tells the News Edge the victim of the shooting, Tyrone Eailey of Hopkinsville, was released from Vanderbilt in Nashville, after being shot during the course of the robbery.

Captain Mike Seis told the News Edge on the scene about Eailey.

He was taken to Jennie Stuart, then transferred to Vanderbilt by helicopter Tuesday night.

Officer Joseph Garcia says police now have two suspects in custody in connection with the robbery that took place at 1207 Walnut Street. The officer says 21-year old Jay Carner was charged with first degree robbery, and 51-year old Ronnie Forte charged with first degree robbery and tampering with physical evidence. Garcia says police are still looking for two, possibly three more suspects in the case.
