Salvage Work Beginning At Eggners Ferry Bridge

With the arrival of equipment Monday, the salvage process can begin on the collapsed portion of the Eggners Ferry Bridge. Lt. Jason Franze, with the U.S. Coast Guard spoke with the News Edge Tuesday.

As for what the salvage work will entail

Lt. Franze was asked if water traffic in the area of the Eggners Ferry Bridge would be impacted by the salvage work.

Franze told the News Edge that salvage crews plan to recycle as much of the recovered material as possible.
