With the arrival of equipment Monday, the salvage process can begin Tuesday on the collapsed portion of the Eggners Ferry Bridge. Coast Guard officials say the cleanup process should take approximately a month to complete.
Crews will not be looking to remove all of the debris, but rather to clear a great deal of it from the bottom of the lake. That part of Kentucky Lake will remain open to commercial and recreational traffic during the debris removal.
