Wednesday Evening Shooting On Durrett Avenue

Hopkinsville Police are investigating a Wednesday evening shooting on Durrett Avenue that left two people injured. The incident took place just after 7pm at the residence at 1413 Durrett Avenue.

A nine year old girl suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen, while a woman at the residence was also injured. Both were initially transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, with the girl later being transferred to Vanderbilt Medical Center. Police do not believe the girl's injuries to be life threatening.

As of midnight, Hopkinsville Police told the News Edge that there were no suspects in the case.
