A Hopkinsville child was transported following a two vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon on Country Club Lane. Hopkinsville Police say 38-year old Dawn Adcock, of Hopkinsville, was stopped in traffic in the westbound lane, when her vehicle was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by 53-year old Danny Hampton, of Cadiz.
Hampton told police he had reached down for a cup of coffee, and when he looked back up he did not have time to avoid the collision. A passenger in the Adcock vehicle, 3-year old Kristen Adcock, was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center following the accident, which occurred around 5:00pm Tuesday.
