Workforce Investment Commissioner Addresses PADD Board

Kentucky Department of Workforce Investment Commissioner, Beth Brinly says it is crucial for the state to encourage partnerships to grow the workforce. Brinly, who spoke to the Pennyrile Area Development District Board of Directors Monday, says making the most of partnerships is a key focus of her administration.

She adds that the federal picture is not improving, but that is why partnering is key locally.

Commissioner Brinly says whether that is partnering with economic development, the KCTCS, or adult education it has to happen on every level to make an impact. Brinly also says they are working to rebrand Workforce Investment to be Kentucky Career Center System, which she hopes will better reflect the work being done locally and across the state to match job seekers with job providers.
