Two Local Broadcasters Honored By KBA

Two of the area's best known broadcasters were honored last night at the Kentucky Broadcaster's Association convention in Louisville. WKDZ / WHVO General Manager Beth Mann was inducted into the Kentucky Broadcaster's Hall of Fame as she was named recipient of KBAs Mic award. The KBA Mic award was presented to Mann by WKDZ / WHVO owner D. J. Everett, who talked about Mann's appreciation of her staff.

In her acceptance remarks, Mann said this recognition was hugely important in her life.

She also fully credited her team.

Also honored was long time WHOP News Director and Early Bird Show co-host Jim Love, who was named recipient of the J.T. Whitlock Life Service Award, recognizing Love's lifetime in broadcasting, starting at WNBS in Murray, and continuing for 33 years at WHOP.
