Next week Hopkinsville will host an Army Vet as he runs across the country in honor of soldiers who served and died in Afghanistan.
Army Veteran Mike Ehredt of Hope, Idaho is on a solo run from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico with American flags bearing the name, rank, and hometown of a fallen US soldier to be placed at each mile along his journey. Ehredt will be stopping in Hopkinsville on Monday as he finishes the 47th day of his Project America Run II. In 2010 Ehredt ran 4000 miles cross country to honor soldiers that died while serving in Iraq.
The Christian County Chamber of Commerce will be holding a welcome reception at 2pm on Monday at the Novadell Golf Course with the public invited to attend.
