County Attorney And Domestic Violence Awareness

Christian County Attorney Mike Foster is reminds all Christian County residents that October is National Domestic Violence Awareness month. Foster encourages all citizens to be aware of the importance of detecting and preventing domestic violence. Foster added that for too many years, domestic violence was either ignored or treated as a private matter whereby many victims, including children, were left to suffer without hope or support.

The County Attorney pointed out state legislators recently passed Amanda’s Law, and the Christian County Attorney’s Office has responded to the problem by recently establishing a Domestic Violence Unit to be staffed by a domestic violence prosecutor.
