Trigg Fiscal Court Approves Road Paving Bids



Seven Trigg County roads will see paving work in the future after magistrates awarded a bid to Pennyrile Asphalt Monday night. During the meeting of Trigg Fiscal Court, magistrates approved the bid of 311,526 dollars, with 263,000-dollars of funding to be provided by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, with the remaining 48,093-dollars to be paid by the county. A portion of Adams Mill and Bush Roads, Lookout Lane, Carriage Cove, Chase Court, Maggie Road and Barkley Circle will be paved.

Trigg County will purchase a new Emergency 9-1-1 Radio, Computer Aided Dispatch and Mapping System from Geo Connects at a cost of 350,266-dollars. Dispatch Director Stephanie Saupe says the new system will bring the 9-1-1 dispatch center up to date.


 
Magistrates approved a proposal by emergency services committee Chairman Rick Nelson to provide 2,500- dollars to each of eight county fire departments to purchase six new radios each. 
 

The radios are required to allow the departments to transition to narrow band by the end of the month. Magistrates also approved the 2,500-dollar purchase of a new radio repeater for southern Trigg county.

Judge Executive Stan Humphries announced that County Finance Officer Ruth Ann Mitchell will retire at the end of the year.
