While it was announced last week, it will become official on Tuesday. The speed limit on 59-miles of US 68 / KY 80, between Trigg County and Bowling Green, will increase from 55-miles per hour to 65-miles per hour.
While formal details have not been worked out, Transportation Cabinet spokesman Chuck Wolfe told the News Edge last week that Governor Beshear is expected to be in the area to formally make the announcement of the speed limit change, sometime on Tuesday. Details of what sections of the highway are included will also be announced.
