A report of a possible plane crash Saturday night in Marshall County turned out to be fireworks instead. Officials with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department said a search was conducted for about two hours, between Hardin and Dexter, after a motorist reported a hearing a noise and seeing an orange glow Saturday evening.

Through their investigation it was discovered that a church group had been shooting fireworks in the area, about the same time that a gas container exploded.
