Hit And Run At I-24 Interchange With Highway 68 In Cadiz

Officials say a Hopkinsville woman was stopped on the Eagle Way Bypass after being involved in a traffic accident Friday evening at the Highway 68 interchange with Interstate 24 just east of Cadiz.

Trigg County Sheriff's Sergeant Jimmy Godair says a 91-year-old Hopkinsville woman was stopped while driving on the Eagle Way Bypass Friday shortly after the wreck by the Christian County Sheriff's Department. Godair says he has not obtained the woman's name, but she reportedly told police that she did not realize she had been involved in an accident and continued driving to Hopkinsville. He said the report by Deputy Mark Nichols has not been filed, so he cannot provide any other details.

The victim, Peggy Dunn of Cadiz, told the News Edge on the scene she was heading home when she was run off the road.

No injuries were reported as the result of the wreck.
