A Hopkinsville man was arrested early Monday morning for allegedly trying to break into a pharmacy on Country Club Lane. Police say they were called out around 2:00am to Tom’s Pharmacy. When officers arrived, they found 27-year old Matthew Carbino standing near a hole in the east wall of the building.

Carbino reportedly ran to his vehicle upon seeing the police.  During a search of Carbino’s vehicle, officers found a flashlight, a steel punch and a claw hammer. Carbino also then admitted to police that he was attempting to gain access to the building. He was arrested on charges of attempted burglary and possession of burglary tools.
