Two people were transported following a two vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Kentucky 117 and Kentucky 345 in Christian County. According to information given to the News Edge at the scene of the accident, a truck and a mini-van collided at the intersection, with one person transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, with another flown from the scene to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

The drivers of both vehicles were reportedly going to be checked out after taking themselves to medical facilities. As a result of the collision, the van struck a power pole, resulting in power being lost to customers of Pennyrile Rural Electric in the area.
