Weather Officials Concerned About Fireworks And Fires
Forecasters are saying people in the area who are planning to celebrate the upcoming Fourth of July holiday with fireworks should be careful because the extremely dry weather conditions that are persisting across the region could result in wildfires.
Officials with the National Weather Service say the persisting dry weather pattern, between now and the holiday period, could increase the risk of fires, noting that it only takes is a spark to set off a fire. The National Weather Service recommends that you water your lawn before setting off fireworks to prevent sparks from starting grass or brush fires.
