Trigg Fiscal Court Selects Insurance Provider



Trigg County employees will be covered under United Healthcare, which will save the county money next year. Magistrates unanimously approved the change that will become effective July 1st during Monday's regular meeting. Budget committee chair Jon Goodwin recommended the change.

In other business magistrates took no action on the request by the Cadiz Merchants Association to help pay the cost of maintaining some tourism related signs along I-24. In a prepared statement, Judge Executive Stan Humphries said after his recent meeting with Cadiz Mayor Lynn Bailey, the feeling of the budget committee is the court is already supporting tourism and economic development adequately.

The merchant's association asked the city and county to take over the 10-thousand annual cost of maintaining the billboard at the Kentucky-Tennessee line along I-24 and other smaller signs.
