One Injured In Motorcycle Accident Monday

A Tennessee man was injured in a motorcycle accident Monday evening at the intersection of I-24 and the Pennyrile Parkway. State Police say 60-year old Gary Osborne, of Chapmansboro, was attempting to merge onto I-24 eastbound from the Pennyrile Parkway, when he failed to negotiate a right turn at the bottom of the ramp.

The motorcycle entered a ditch off the left shoulder of the roadway, crossed both eastbound lanes and entered the median.  The motorcycle then overturned several times ejecting Osborne. He was flown from the scene to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment. The accident occurred around 6:35pm.
